Beware, most “Mixed” seasonings are pretty difficult to find gluten-free. We find it easier to just buy the basic spices and herbs then mix our own. This recipe for our homemade blackened salmon seasoning is our favorite! Hope you like it!
Ingredients:
- 16 Tbsp Paprika
- 8 Tbsp Cayenne
- 8 Tbsp Onion Powder (or Garlic Powder… my husband can’t do onion powder!)
- 16 tsp Salt
- 4 tsp White Pepper
- 4 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 tsp Thyme, dried
- 2 tsp Basil, dried
- 2 tsp Oregano, dried
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients together and enjoy!

Tips & Tricks:
Storage – I like to use empty Kirkland salt or pepper containers for large amounts so I always have some on hand when I need it. The pictures show the seasonings before I mixed them together…I just think they are pretty that way, but obviously you need to shake them up before using them 🙂
Quantity – I left the measurements in Tbsp and tsp so you can easily cut the recipe in half or quarters. The amounts listed here will fill the Kirkland salt or pepper containers nicely.
