Five Guys has a simple menu of burgers, fries and milkshakes! Fries are the ONLY thing in their fryer thereby making them gluten-free!! They offer a nice lettuce wrap alternative to their bun. Super crispy & crunchy and super messy so make sure you get lots of napkins!
Gluten and other allergen Info
I am pretty sensitive to gluten cross-contamination but so far I haven’t noticed any problems from Five Guys burgers or fries. When you ask them to change their gloves they are happy to comply. Five Guys has a complete nutrition & allergen info page so you can feel safe knowing you are eating within your allergy limitations. However, if you have a peanut allergy you should not go to Five Guys. There are usually peanuts all over the restaurant, set out as a snack while you wait for your burger. Also, more importantly, they use only peanut oil in their food prep.
Gluten-Free Burger and Toppings
When you order your burger you can choose from a long list of toppings, all of which are gluten-free and super delicious!!! If you haven’t tried it before we suggest you order it “all the way” – this includes all their toppings! The grilled onions are perfectly cooked and in my opinion what sets Five Guys apart from all the other burger joints. Not to mention their burgers are made from fresh ground beef, there are no freezers in Five Guys, just coolers!
Gluten-Free Fries
Not only are their burgers delicious but they have probably the best fries I’ve ever had! Also, they are pretty generous with their fries, typically overflowing the cup they are served in. When we order as a family we sometimes break our order into to separate orders. We order the 3 gluten-free lettuce wrapped burgers and fries in one order, then my husband and daughter order their regular burgers as a separate order. That way they don’t put the gluten burgers on top of the fries in the bag. This ensures the fries are safe for us all 🙂
