Let’s start off getting something clear… I’m not big into diets! From past experience it seems as though I end up gaining more after a diet than the weight I started with. Unless eating habits are changed for good diets just don’t work. The cleanse however, is the best of both worlds in my book 🙂 With the cleanse the goal is to re-set your metabolism with a combination of weight loss and detoxification. Sure, it’s always a good idea to cut back on sweets and ramp up your exercise routine, but it’s also nice to have some treats every now and then, and I’ll be honest, sometimes I just don’t feel like exercising!
Does it work??
Well I am convinced that it does work after seeing how this cleanse has affected my parents over the last 20 years – I’d say that’s sufficiently time tested! Growing up I remember my mom trying every new fad diet, but nothing seemed to last very long. Sure, she would loose weight but then she’d gain it right back. When she tried the Fat Flush however, not only did she look great but she KEPT THE WEIGHT OFF!!! She didn’t just keep the weight off for a few years, she still looks great 20 years later. She does a refresher every once in a while but that’s it!
So what is the cleanse?

I admit I don’t do the full deal because it takes a lot of time & planning and it’s just too difficult with 3 teenagers in the house! The first time I did it I was a little more strict about it and lost over 10 lbs in 2 weeks!!
Shopping List: The Essentials
Before you start The Cleanse you will need to stock up on a few key items:
Daily intake: 8 glasses cran-water per day.
Purpose: The cran-water mixture eliminates water retention, cleanses accumulated wastes from the lymphatic system, and helps clean up cellulite.
Best place to buy: Fred Meyer on sale, usually around $5. Also available on Amazon.
Daily intake: 1 tablespoon twice daily (mixed with 8ox cran water)
Purpose: to increase elimination and balance hormones
Best place to buy: Costco or Amazon
Daily intake: 1 tablespoon twice daily.
Purpose: Essential for it’s high-omega-3 fat-fighting and insulin-regulating potential.
Best place to buy: Amazon, I have it auto-ship every 3 months.
Shopping List: Extra Credit
And here are a few other items depending on how serious you want to get about the cleanse:
Intake: Sprinkle tablespoon of granules over lunch or dinner.
Purpose: fat-burning

Intake: Up to 2 servings. Be sure the ptotein powder you use is very low in carbs. This brand has 24g protein and only 3g carbs.
Purpose: As an alternative to eggs or cooked lean protein for any meal (usually use in smoothie for breakfast). Protein raises metabolism by 25% and activates the liver’s detoxifying enzymes.

Intake: Follow instructions on bottle, recommended to take the equivalent of 360 mg GLA daily.
Purpose: fat-burning, skin beautifying, hair strengthening, anti-inflammatory

Basic Daily Requirements Per Person
- 8 glasses cran-water – fill two 32oz bottles with 4 oz unsweetened cranberry juice and 28oz water)
- 2 long-life cocktails – 8oz cran-water with 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds. Drink while stirring or drink with straw. Drink one first thing in the morning and the other before bed (2 hours before or after prescription medicines)
- hot lemon tea: 8 oz hot water with 1/2 lemon (2 tablespoons)
- 1 Tablespoon High Lignan Flax Seed Oil twice daily (delicious nutty flavor)
- NO DAIRY, ADDED SUGAR, CARBS, BEANS, ALCOHOL
- Limited carrots, peas, coffee (1 cup black)
Simplified Sample Daily Menu Per Person
- On arising: Long life cocktail (wait 2 hours before taking prescriptions medicines)
- Before breakfast: Hot Lemon Tea
- Breakfast: 8 oz cran-water, 2 eggs (limit 2 eggs daily – plain or scramble with any veggies. Bonus, add any fat flushing spices for added benefit) or smoothie (1 cup fruit, 1 scoop 100% whey powder, 8oz cran-water, 1 tablespoon flax oil)
- Mid-morning snack: 12oz cran-water plus 1 serving fruit, 1 hard boiled egg, or any veggie
- Lunch: 8oz cran-water, 4 oz protein + vegetables (unlimited) + lecithin granules
- Mid-afternoon snack: 12oz cran-water plus 1 serving fruit, 1 hard boiled egg, or any veggie
- Dinner: 8oz cran-water, 4 oz protein + vegetables (unlimited) + 1 tablespoon flax oil (we make a salad dressing – 4 T flax oil, 3 T apple cider vinegar, 3 T lemon juice – shake vigorously)
- Before bed – Long life cocktail
