There are more and more gluten-free flours available these days, thank goodness!! Not all gluten free flours are equal though! Here are the ones I use and where I get them:
Mama’s Coconut Blend is by far the best gluten-free flour available! This is the KEY to making your recipes NOT taste gluten-free. You do need to add xantham gum but that’s no so bad! You can tailor every recipe to the exact texture you desire! Mama’s used to be available in stores but now the only place I can find it is directly from their website. They have great customer service and ship promptly!
Namaste gluten-free flour blend is good but will have a hint of that gluten-free taste. I do not use this in cookies, pancakes, banana bread, etc but it can be used for fried chicken, orange chicken, shepherd’s pie, etc. I get this at Costco but it is available from amazon and most grocery stores. They also have several good baking mixes as well.
I don’t typically use Betty Crocker Bisquick Baking Mix but my in-laws use it all the time when they have all us kids over for Sunday morning brunch. It tastes great and even the non-gluten-free kids gobble up the goodies. This can be found in most grocery stores.
