This frosting will set up after about 10 minutes. Be sure to wait to prepare it until you are ready to use it or it will be difficult to spread. Also, make sure whatever you plan to spread it on if completely cooled or it will be messy!
With an electric mixer, beat the following in a medium bowl on low speed until smooth:
- 3 oz cream cheese ~ softened
- 1/3 cup butter ~ softened
- 1 tsp vanilla
Gradually beat in powdered sugar on low speed until smooth and spreadable.
- 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
Spread immediately before it starts to set up.
