Ok, I know this isn’t a recipe but it deserves to be in the gluten-free beverage category! There are more and more gluten-free beers available these days. Most of them are lagers which are not really my favorite. The other readily available alternatives are ciders, but sometimes I really just want a good beer! Living in the Pacific Northwest I was a little spoiled with amazing micro brews before I was diagnosed with celiac disease.
I thought I’d never be able to have an IPA or a dark beer again until one day we discovered Ground Breaker Brewing! They make an awesome IPA and several delicious dark beers too! Those are my favorites but they make a broad range of delicious gluten-free beers. They have seasonal and experimental gluten-free beers as well, always a fun surprise to see what they will come up with next!

GhostFish Brewing Company has some delicious gluten-free beers as well. They use interesting ingredients such as grapefruit and cranberry which I was a little weary of initially but they are actually pretty darn good!

A study released in 2017 concluded that “gluten-removed” beer may not be safe for people with Celiac disease. I have tried Omission beers, which are crafted to remove gluten, on several occasions and can attest that I have gotten sick every time 🙁 Best to stick with true gluten-free beers!!
